The glassy garages are constructions of an ideal nature. Their realization takes place in workshops. Workshops are functions or modules that help to fulfill the purpose or mission of the particular glassy garage. Due to their interdisciplinary and modular basic orientation, the garages each bring with them very diverse requirements in terms of resources of all kinds (premises, equipment, materials, but also staff, skills and competencies).

Take the food garage, for example: it requires a food laboratory for research, a greenhouse (plant workshop) for production, a kitchen or processing workshop, and a cooking studio (cooking workshop). In addition, from time to time it uses the event or communication workshop for its purposes. As in this case, in many cases different glassy garages share the same workshops.

Each workshop can equally exist as an independent enterprise on the Garage Campus and present itself to the outside world. Relationships with and offers for the garages are expressly desired and provide an additional economic basis for the workshops. At the same time, the economic autonomy of the workshops should remain guaranteed and they should always be able to develop further revenue streams for themselves in order to secure their own existence in the long term.
