Car Ride in a Temporary Community
A unique experience in the urban space of Chemnitz – between theater, sound, and encounter. This project invites both audiences and car owners to join a shared ride through Chemnitz. For about 30 minutes, a temporary community on four wheels is created. During the ride, props are passed around, conversations emerge, opinions collide – time is experienced together.
“panorama radio” blends theater, performance, spatial art, and social action into a multifaceted experience. Inside and outside, car and city, spectator and co-creator – everything intertwines. It’s about community, public space – and what these terms can mean today.
Following previous stops in Istanbul, Bonn, and Düsseldorf, a new site-specific version will be created in Chemnitz for the European Capital of Culture 2025.
