On August 31, the Tuesday Singers Chemnitz invite you to a special evening full of music, voices, and atmosphere. Their concert in the main workshop of the Garagen-Campus offers a rich and varied choral experience – emotional, powerful, and full of heart.

The group of around 50 female singers performs a cappella or with piano accompaniment – mostly in German and English, but also in Swahili, Czech, Italian, Swedish, French, and Portuguese. Their sound is both tender and powerful, always delivered with joy and a touch of humor.
Formed around the turn of the millennium as part of the Rock/Pop/Jazz division of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, the choir quickly became a beloved part of the city’s cultural life under the direction of Anja Schumann, professional vocalist and music educator.
Major highlights include their 10-year anniversary concert at Kreuzkirche Chemnitz, and two collaborative performances with Chorallen Dresden (in 2012 and 2015) that each drew over 700 guests. In 2022, they celebrated their 20th anniversary – slightly delayed due to COVID – with another sold-out concert at Lutherkirche.
