November 7 , 19:00 – November 22 , 22:00
TRACE OF US brings together photographic works by artists from Germany and the Czech Republic who explore themes such as identity, origin, and memory. At its core are personal stories shaped by the social transformations after 1989 and the lingering effects of the Iron Curtain.
Between documentary approaches, self-staging, and archival material, a multifaceted dialogue emerges—one that transcends national borders and makes visible the traces of both individual and collective experiences.
Chemnitz – as the European Capital of Culture 2025 – provides an ideal setting for this exploration with its spirit of transformation.
