A Journey from One Story to the Next
During the European Capital of Culture year, the Garagen-Campus attracted great interest from both tourists and local residents. Many of you may have already visited the site during events and experienced the unique atmosphere.
This year, we continue our efforts to bring the Garagen-Campus to life and offer new perspectives.
Experience Days at the Garagen-Campus
In cooperation with the Straßenbahnmuseum Chemnitz, we organize a monthly experience day on the site. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program for the whole family – including games, sports, entertainment and historic vehicle rides in a unique setting.
A key part of these days are the free guided tours, which were already very popular last year.
A Journey Through Time Across the Campus
Under the motto “A Journey from One Story to the Next”, visitors of all ages explore the Garagen-Campus together.
Along the way, you will discover fascinating details, hidden corners and perhaps even personal memories – for example of the former Kappel depot, which is closely connected to many people’s professional and personal histories.

- Participation: free of charge (donations welcome)
- Meeting point: 15 minutes before the start in front of the Garagen-Campus office
- Number of participants: limited
