During the European Capital of Culture year, the Garagen-Campus attracted great interest from both tourists and local residents. Many of you may have already visited the site during events and experienced its unique atmosphere.
This year, we continue to bring the Garagen-Campus to life and offer new perspectives.

Experience Days at the Garagen-Campus
In cooperation with the Straßenbahnmuseum Chemnitz, we organize a monthly experience day on the site. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program for the whole family – including games, sports, entertainment and historic vehicle rides in a unique setting.
A key part of these days are the free guided tours, which were already very popular last year.
From Lost Place to Cultural Venue
This tour focuses on the recent history of the Garagen-Campus and highlights how the site has undergone a remarkable transformation in a short period of time.
It explores the unique opportunities of a European Capital of Culture year and the creative ideas that made this change possible. From a former “lost place” to a vibrant space for culture, encounters and exchange – the tour offers fascinating insights into this transformation process and reveals the potential of the area.

- Participation: free of charge (donations welcome)
- Meeting point: 15 minutes before the start in front of the Garagen-Campus office
- Number of participants: limited
