New Chemnitz Meets Africa – Experience Diversity!
On November 7, 2026, the Garagen-Campus in Chemnitz will transform into a vibrant hub of African culture. The Kukaye Moto Culture Center e.V. invites you to the 5th Kukaye Moto Africa Festival – a day full of music, encounters and cultural diversity.
A Festival for All the Senses
The festival offers a unique opportunity to experience Africa in all its facets. Visitors can immerse themselves in the stories, traditions and everyday life of the continent – from music and fashion to cuisine and art.
Artists and musicians from various regions of Africa bring the stage to life: from Afro-jazz and reggae to traditional rhythms, creating an inspiring program that invites you to dance, explore and feel. The day will conclude with a lively aftershow party.
Bazaar, Workshops & Family Program
A vibrant bazaar invites visitors to browse handmade jewelry, African accessories and unique items. Workshops offer the chance to get actively involved – whether through drumming, dance or creative activities, the focus is on shared experiences.
There is also plenty for children to enjoy: face painting, craft activities and interactive programs make the festival a great experience for the whole family.
A Culinary Journey Through Africa
Guests can look forward to a culinary journey across the continent. From East African specialties to dishes from West and North Africa, there is plenty to discover and taste. Authentic food, unique spices and traditional drinks create a rich and memorable experience.
A Sign of Diversity and Dialogue
The Kukaye Moto Culture Center e.V. has been committed to intercultural exchange and social dialogue for many years. With the Africa Festival, the association creates a space where people come together, learn from one another and broaden their perspectives.
