On 10 September 2025, the Fonds Soziokultur invites you to the full-day Shortcut Europe Conference in Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025. Together with the City of Chemnitz, the State Association for Socioculture in Saxony, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Berlin, and the partners of the Cultural Bridge programme, we are putting essential questions at the center of the conversation:
- How can socioculture counter division and hate?
- What do we need to truly live democratic values?
- How do we create spaces for productive dialogue and empathy?
Inspiration, encounters, and practical exchange
Cultural professionals, policymakers, researchers, and civil society actors will come together to develop new perspectives on social cohesion — hands-on, strategic, and across borders.
