Especially in May, when Chemnitz comes alive again, this is the perfect setting to unwind after work and connect with others. The large bar in the main workshop naturally becomes the heart of the evening.

Between Past and New Beginnings

The Garagen-Campus looks back on a long history. Once known as the Kappel depot, it was the heart of Chemnitz’s public transport system, shaped by horse-drawn trams, tracks and vehicle halls. After years of silence, the site has been reimagined as a place where past and future come together.

Industrial architecture meets creative use, historic structures meet fresh ideas. With open spaces, unique details and even its own railway connection, the campus continues to surprise and demonstrates how exciting transformation can be.

Gallery Soft Opening

A special highlight of the evening: Ronny Graupner will open his gallery in the “Farbatelier”.

“The gallery is conceived as a platform for artists from Chemnitz and emerging creative talents from the region. Its aim is to make art more visible, create encounters and establish an open space for creative impulses in the heart of the Garagen-Campus. During ÜBERSTUNDE, visitors will get a first glimpse and see selected works. The exhibition will be publicly accessible in the future and will continue to evolve over time.”
