The Inclusion Garage creates a platform for exchange and better understanding of each other. Here, for example, employees from companies, municipal institutions, authorities and offices can come together with people who have a disability in order to make the difficulties and hurdles of everyday life visible and relatable. The aim is to reduce fear of contact and to find a more understanding way of dealing with each other. Educational work and exchange take place in creative and diverse ways. Interactive formats such as the play in the dark are of particular importance. They never perform disabilities, but make them relatable in order to promote a change of perspective.

The Garage’s purpose is also to establish inclusion as the overall guiding goal for all planning and implementation of the Garage campus. Inclusion should always be considered and lived everywhere – be it in a good wayfinding system, the nature of the premises or the digital and analog communication and information around the Garage Campus.
