Increase the visibility of towns and villages in the region with permanent representations.

The concept of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 includes the city and its surrounding region. “Growing together more strongly via the cultural sector is the engine for a common future.”  The Garage Campus aims to contribute to this by creating the garage of regional representations to represent the interests of the surrounding towns and villages linked to the Purple Path. This will give them the opportunity to establish a permanent representation in Chemnitz in order to be visible and present there. The Regional Garages promote the symbiotic interplay of city and surrounding areas by enriching and reinforcing the urban perspective with the strengths, skills and characteristics of the participating communities in the region. The undiscovered potential of both rural and small-town areas becomes visible and can be experienced by a broader public.
