To kick off the European Mobility Week 2022, the city of Chemnitz invites you to a big party at the Garage Campus. On Friday, 16 September, a colourful group of actors will offer an exciting programme from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Among other things, visitors will be able to try out e-scooters and wheelchairs, take a course in e-car sharing, and get active with the city’s sports association.
Of course, there will also be plenty of entertainment for children and adults. Making your own smoothie with a bicycle, having your picture taken with accessories in a historic tram and trying out a simulation about mobility in advanced age are just some of the activities planned for the festival. Finally, to round off the event, the Chemnitz Bicycle Cinema will set the course at 8 pm with the Olsen Gang on the grounds.
The Chemnitz Tram Museum and the city’s EU office will round off the Germany-wide Rail Day on 16 and 17 September the following Saturday with another night ride of a tram plus a reading.
