visit from Manchester
Architecture, urban planning and art – do they go together? Of course they do!
Around 50 students and lecturers from the Manchester School of Architecture visited Chemnitz last week and explored the city in a creative way.
The fields of experimentation: the creative corridor and the garage campus.
The sites were explored using new and artistic methods of urban planning and the results were presented as performances after a 2-day stay. Objects found in the Garage Campus played a central role in the performances.
Our guests took a wide range of insights back to Manchester with them, which they will now develop further. A continuation will follow in autumn this year…
